Testimonials

Below you see some great success storys about dogs we've trained. It is not a complete list of clients we've trained as we have on average 10 dogs per month that go through our Boot Camp and many others in training with our Private Hourly Training.

July 2009: Boston Terrier Mamie with her happy owner Shari Levitin of Park City at the Park City Park doing off leash work. Mamie also would run away whenever she'd see a dog or kids. Now they can confidently walk her off leash around different distractions!

July 2009: Snickers the Aussie with owner Steve Anderson on the last day of Boot Camp.  Snickers would run away and not come back unless Steve and family would "trick" her by driving up to her in the car and saying "Let's go for a ride."  Now seen in this picture Off Leash next to Steve he is one happy dog owner!

Here is Boyd and his German Sheperd Grizz.  Grizz came to us and was fully human aggrssive and dog aggressive.  Here Boyd is doing a "Sit Stay" with Grizz around our horses.  Here is a great success story of Anthony's Pets saving another dog's life!  More of Grizz's amazing story to come....

Another great shot of Grizz walking on a loose leash with his owner Boyd during a training session at Anthony's Pets.  Horses are a great distraction for him - look at that great "Heel" - he used to pull on the leash constantly.  Attentiveness is the key to obedience!

Here Chow Chow Tank is having Coffee with Anthony on "Place" command. Mark and Jen went on their Honeymoon and left Tank with us for Boot Camp and now he's much more socialized than ever before.

Tank at Lake

We took our 10 month old chow chow "Tank" to Anthony because we had heard great things about Anthony's Pets. Tank wasn't exactly the most balanced puppy. We wanted to curve any issues our boy Tank was starting to show. The Chow Chow is a wonderful breed when they know who the pack leader is. Anthony and his trainers have taught Tank the do's and dont's and he now know's all the basic commands. Tank now has a solid foundation to grow on and Anthony gave us the the tools to grow with our boy. We are excited to have such a wonderful dog thanks to Anthony's Pets.

Bill and Molly Morris, with their Tibetan Terrier Sammy. Sammy wouldn't go outside with the Avalanche Control work going on, so he was pooping in the Morris' beautiful new house. After hearing about Anthony's Pets' Boot Camp from another client of ours they gave us a call and we picked Sammy up that same day. Now they walk him off leash every day (he would wander before) and they haven't had an accident since he's been home. Molly said "Feel free to give my phone number out to anyone trying to decide whether or not to use Anthony's Pets dog training." Yay for another success story and satisfied customer. Their phone number is 435-615-7739 (They said anyone could call them for a reference)..
This picture is taken on our first in home appointment 10 days after Boot Camp ended in front of their home on February 13, 2009.

Marlyn from Park City's Silver Cricket Floral Store in Redstone with her Kodiak. Marlyn told me about numerous occasions where she feared for her life, thinking Kodi may kill her. Kodi moved around in and out of "Being Rescued" until Marlyn rescued him. Having serious aggression before Boot Camp you can see a calm and submissive Kodi after 5 intensive weeks of training at Anthony's Pets. Now Marlyn can walk Kodi off leash around Park City and you can stop by her flower shop and see Kodi laying around calmly just about every day of the week...unless he's out on a flower delivery.

Here you see our friends from Pepperwood the Douglas family with Rosie and Scott. The first time I showed up at their home to train their dogs, Rosie bit me. Both dogs were extremely dominant and fear aggressive. They couldn't have freedom in their beautiful home because they would mark the carpet and walls. They even would pee on their beds if not closely supervised. Now after training the dogs have the run of the house and the Douglas' are quite pleased to be able enjoy their dogs.

Anthony and his Daughter Grace training the 6 Month Old Weimireiner "Boss" for Peggy Webster at the Deer Valley Lakes in Park City. Boss, who couldn't be handled due to fear aggression, seen here with Grace (just barely 3yrs old) teaching a "Sit Stay." We want your dogs so obedient that 3 year olds can walk with them. Call with questions.

Spring 2008 - Anthony helped Robert Redford and Bylle train their Jack Russel's, Sophie and Pablo. To begin with the dogs were completely out of control. They couldn't walk them on leashes with out pulling and running circles around their legs. Bob and Bylle said "We'll never walk them off leash." After Anthony's Pets 'Boot Camp' Bob and Bylle walk their two lovely dogs off leash every day. On your next trip to Sundance look for Bob and Bylle walking these two beauties around the resort. Here are some pictures of Bob and Bylle with their pups and horses, doing a training session with Anthony.

The Morley family said "We've had many people say "How can you send your dog away for 4 weeks?  We couldn't do that with our dog"  and we tell them "We are going to have Lucy for 14 more years, what's a month to have a well trained dog?"  We've also had people say that if they knew about this training they would have never gotten rid of their dog." Lucy went home April 26th, 2008.

Hi Anthony (June '08)

Kevin said today "I want to know what you did with my dog!  Because this dog you gave us after her training isn't the same dog...lol."  Before training, Kaasha, was completely dog and people aggressive.  After Anthony's Pet's 'Boot Camp' we walked Kaasha off leash at the Sandy dog park today with great success.  Post Boot Camp adventures include a trip to Park City for off leash fun around many new dogs and people -Kaasha went home 6/11/08.  "We can now enjoy our dog like we always wanted."

I can’t thank you enough for the help you provided for my dog, Bailey. The transformation she made while attending your training is remarkable! I had my doubts, but you have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, that old dogs can be taught new tricks…..and not to attack!

Before attending your school, Bailey had a hard time around people. She was aggressive towards strangers and other dogs. It got to the point where I only took her on walks in the early morning and late evening, where it was less likely we’d run into someone. She was never allowed off leash in fear of a possible attack and always kept in a kennel when friends came over. It was like I was boarding a wild animal rather than enjoying a house pet.

Bailey was becoming more of a burden each day. I struggled with the idea of giving her away, but in the end, I decided to work with her rather than give up on her. That’s when I elected on obedience school. After looking around, I found your website and gave you a call. A few weeks later, I dropped Bailey off for her month long training. Since then, it’s like having a new dog. Her personality is still the same, yet, she listens when I give her a command. She will sit in ‘place’ without moving, and for the first time in her life, we take off-leash walks every afternoon! She’s obedient, calm, and best of all, happy. She’s not the aggressive, timid dog I dropped off and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Life with Bailey couldn‘t be better and I have you and your staff to thank. I will keep you posted on her progress as I continue with her training. You’ve made me a believer, and you’ve made Bailey a well-trained dog. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!

"Before we met Anthony we considered getting rid of our two beautiful dogs.  They were too hyper and wouldn't do anything we wanted them to do.  They lived outside in their kennel and couldn't get out because the kids were scared of them.  After going through the Boot Camp training with Anthony's Pets and Who's Training Who? our dogs live in the house with us and they are a part of our family.  Thank You to James and Anthony for giving us dogs we can love.  The time away from our dogs and the money we invested was well worth the results we got and continue to get with our dogs."  The Milne Family - July 2007

Anthony with Macie Anderson and her Newfoundlands Bear and Saga. "Bear was a pulling machine on the leash and wouldn't pay any attention to my commands. Now I walk him off leash in Liberty Park and he is such a pleasure to be around. Once Bear went through the In Kennel training with Anthony's Pets I knew I could handle another Newfy, now Bear has a companion and life is great with our two dogs! Thank you!!" June 2006

Dear James, (August '07)
What a guy!! You’ve made life both in many ways for both Brinn (Cairn Terrier) and our family. I am grateful for your patience, consistent interaction and personal attention for a “willful” little creature. We’ll be in touch. Thanks, thanks, thanks!

Hey Anthony,
I was picking up the hounds the other day from their spa vacation at Anthony's Pets when I noticed that you had started a new website for your dog training. I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciate all the work you have put in to make Syd and Durden the happy and well trained hounds they are today. I was told by several trainers that Hound dogs are very hard to train and I should just accept that I will always have poorly trained dogs.

After sending them to your training program, the hounds have been great. They don't howl, they obey commands, they come when called and when they are off leash they stay near by rather than running off like they used to. Just the other day we were on the hiking trail in Park City and a moose came across the trail. When I told the hounds to come, they came to me rather than chasing the moose.

Finally, I would like to mention that in addition to the great results from the dog training, you and your staff are really awesome. Everyone I speak with is very friendly, helpful and most importantly they all love dogs which makes me feel good when I leave the hounds for a few days. I always appreciate the fact that my phones calls are returned quickly and when I come to pickup the dogs, they are always ready to go.

Keep up the good work and thanks again,

David Nitka (Nov 2007)

Anthony,
We just wanted to let you know how impressed we were today. Paul had originally expressed some doubts when you said that you work with the dog 20 minutes per day. The thought being that ‘what will 20 minutes per day do for him?’ Just watching your five minutes with him this afternoon was enough to convince all of us that you will do a fantastic job with Beowulf.

We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and size of your kennels. For the amount of dogs that you are currently boarding/training, there was zero animal smell I liked that, a lot!

Additionally, the fact that you really wanted to know about Beowulf’s personality was more than I expected. You were concerned for both his physical and mental health and well-being. I suspect that I had taken him elsewhere, there would have been much less concern for him. It is obvious that you love dogs and you love to create a favorable response from them. Your obedience school is much more than the basic ‘churn them and turn them’ attitude that I received from other places when I was inquiring.

We thank you in advance for the improvements that I know you will create with my precious Fur-Kid, Beowulf.

Sincerely,
Sammi, Jesica, Paul and Beowulf.

Annie Mastian has given me (Anthony) permission to give her phone number to people interested in taking their dog through my In Kennel or Private training programs. Annie is the proud owner of the beautiful black Newfoundland on my website known as "Boo." Annie and Boo are a pleasure to work with and they are always a great referral for what can happen with a great dog and some solid training. If you are debating bringing your dog to me, please call her in Park City at 435.513.0695.

Anthony,
We would like to let you and your staff knows how impressed we are with the training Shy Anne received with your in kennel training. As I have told you and James we were at a place when we had purchased some vacation property south, that I could not how she would be able to be part of that because of her being so out of control. From not being able to travel in a car or unwilling to follow even a few commands. We were thinking we might have to give her to a family that could handle her high energy. So the timing could not have been more perfect, when we heard of your obedience training. We brought you a very out of control Lab and after four weeks and a few training sessions for us, what a pleasure to actually enjoy our dog. We have traveled south and she did great. How nice to hear from others how well behaved our dog is. Your concern, follow thru, and customer service from everyone at Anthony's Pets is great, how nice to find these days. Thank you and James and all your staff for all you did for us.

Sincerely,
Wally, Claire and Shy Anne

Dear Anthony,
Our Beagle, Floyd, just completed four weeks of training with you, and our family is amazed that we how have such a pleasant dog. The other night we were having dinner as a family and Floyd stayed on his place the entire time. No jumping for food or biting at the kids for their scraps. Delightful.

I did not think it was possible to have Floyd behave. It was a "last ditch" effort to send Floyd away, but I wish we had done it first! Before training, I was afraid of Floyd & afraid he'd be aggressive with or hurt one of the kids. Now he is a completely different dog who I am not scared of! When people would laugh when I told them Floyd was at doggie bootcamp I would say "You would be amazed!" Now that is what I tell everyone about Anthony's Pets!
